Another pioneer for golf in B.C., Mr. Herb Fritz, designed and built the always dry and sport Nico-Wynd GC in south Surrey. Herb still enjoys the pleasant surroundings and was so instrumental in many progressive activities for the BCGA and PNGA in the Northwest, as well as being a very fine player in his own right. Birdies are hard to come by today, but A.J. Ewart of Coquitlam found one to help him secure the title and win over the host course up and coming member, Taylor Patrick of Surrey.
Winning for the third time in as many starts, smooth swinging Aaron Ferrer of Delta, recorded another solid effort and a fine score of 72 to win over returning alumni Junior Linkster member, Joe Zerdin of Surrey. Great to have the Zerdin boys back.
