British Columbia's cold and windy weather has been continuing a little longer than usual this year, but the sun came out just in time to enjoy the very sporty Delta layout operated by the Cordero clan and known as Sunshine Woods – how apt!

Age 6 & Under “Pee Wees”saw a newcomer take on his home track, none other than five year old Enrico Cordero of Delta. The winner of the Pee Wee division was Jason Xie of Vancouver, and he was all smiles all day! Enrico was playing in his first tournament of his new golfing career and he too had great fun! Enrico's silver medal was proudly worn by the youngster for pictures.

Age 7 – 8 “Pee Wees” division was really close with perennial winner Ilirian Zalli of Vancouver recording a fine 62 for first place and the trophy. Just two strokes behind were two golfers, Dylan Bercan of Vancouver, whose back nine score of 30 helped him catch up with Jess Lee from Surrey. The better back nine gave Dylan the silver medal and Jess takes home the bronze medal.

Age 9 – 10 “Divots” winner with the day's best score, a terrific 58, just four over par on the long and challenging layout, was Tiffany Kong of Vancouver, and she really enjoys playing all the courses, especially the shorter ones which really help enhance her short shots and putting for next month's international golf events. Second spot and the silver medal to long hitting Michael Crisologo of Richmond. James Yoo of Vancouver happily accepts his first medal, a bronze for third.

Junior Girls division winner was a happy Claire Lovan of Surrey, who plays her own game, unconcerned with anything outside happy times on the golf course with her pals. Second to Richmond's Alisha Lau who also is enjoying the low key Junior Linkster golf experience. Amy Ehlert of Maple Ridge has the bronze medal for her efforts and she too prefers to “play golf” with her friends.
