Age 11-12 “Bear Cubs” division at the newly renovated Fraserview GC in Vancouver, BC enjoyed a quiet day at a classic golf course in the heart of Vancouver. Storm clouds lifted and the Optimist Juniors took advantage of the forward tees today for some terrific scores – many happy birdies and an eagle too!
Sy Lovan of Surrey fired a two-under par 69 to lead the way, counting no less than five birdies, four of them on the front nine to take the first place trophy. Lots of smiles today as James Kim of Vancouver earns his first silver medal for second place and Surrey's Taylor Patrick gathers in the bronze medal for third.

Age 13-15 “Tiger Cubs” division saw the best score of the year so far on the Tour, with Aaron Ferrer of Delta blitzing the rolling layout with a six-under par 66! Aaron had four birdies and an eagle to light up the score card, and another two birdies on the back nine for his 30-36 round. Fabulous golf for the smoothest golf swing in the division! Young Trevor Yu of Vancouver had but one birdie and still took second spot silver with an even par score of 72. That's steady golf. The third place bronze medal went to the always dependable James Hunter of Vancouver.

Junior Girls division winner, and no surprise here, was home course favourite, Tiffany Kong of Vancouver, using her deft putting touch to record a very excellent score of 82 – great golf for the world ranked nine year old lassie!
Silver medal to the improving Grace Luo of Vancouver and bronze medal for third to another Vancouver golfer, Gayle Oh. Great showing one and all!
