Event #19 Optimist Junior Linkster Tour(BC) June 4, 2011, White Rock, British Columbia. Peace Portal Par 3 GC, Par 54, 1,834 Yards – Age 10 & Under Jr/Divots

NEWS - June 4, 2011

The classic beauty of old growth forest in warm sunshine at the hilly and very sporty golf experience in White Rock was enjoyed by an enthusiastic group of Junior Linkster golfers. Even though the Vancouver Canucks were battling for the Stanley Cup, the juniors took on the course in earnest. Junior Girls Division winner was Surrey's Claire Lovan whose steady play resulted in a fine score of 67 to take the first place trophy. Shania Dhindsa, also of Surrey, birdied the 16th hole and claimed the second place silver medal. Third place and the bronze medal went to our newest Optimist Junior Linkster, Miss Maeva Tremblay of Maple Ridge – what a terrific debut!

Boys “Pee Wee” Division winner, Sher Sidhu of Langley, has had two silver medal positions lately and decided it was time to move up to the top with a solid game and score of 70. Silver medal winner goes to a determined Mackenzie Bickell of Richmond, just getting by an equally keen junior, Ryan Yap, also from Richmond, who happily takes the bronze medal. Well done one and all.

Boys “Divot” Division winner, his first this year, Michael Crisologo of Richmond, who had three birdie “two's” to walk away with the first place trophy. Second spot and the silver medal winner, Vancouver's Dylan Bercan fired 66 to just edge third place winner Justin Yap from Richmond.
