Veritas World Junior and the Canadian Junior Golf Association and BC Junior Linkster Tour Partnership
The Canadian Junior Golf Association and the BC Junior Linkster Tour have partnered with Veritas World Junior to run qualifiers across Canada for determining qualified players to participate in the Inaugural 2012 Veritas World Junior. Said Earl Fritz, CJGA Executive Director, today:
"The Canadian Junior Golf Association is delighted to partner with Veritas World Junior in its inaugural year. As part of the CJGA competitive development program we are excited to provide exclusive qualifying opportunities for Junior Golfers in Canada." Said Harry White, Jr Linkster Executive Director, today:
"The Junior Linkster Tour Canada is thrilled to be taking part in the 2012 Veritas World Junior Golf Festival. Statement: "Learn, Play & Compete"
The 2011 Optimist JUNIOR LINKSTER TOUR For Boys & Girls - An exciting
opportunity for beginning and accomplished junior golfers who want to
"Learn, Play & Compete" at the great game of golf.
Age Divisions: 6 & Under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13 & Up.
The 50+ event tour, sanctioned by www.cjga.com, www.cojg.com and www.optimist.org has regular stops in the greater Vancouver Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley and Okanagan. The CJGA offer Junior Linkster events all across Canada and qualify our juniors for "Junior Majors" such as Callaway Junior World, US Kids Golf, Optimist International Junior Golf Championship, and others. In the Northwest, we link with www.jrgt.com and conduct the Wahlroth Cup, a "Ryder Cup" style junior team match with 60 boys and girls from BC taking on 60 from Washington. Best-ball, Chapman and Singles match play format are done over 54 holes.
"Learn Play and Compete" and make new friends. Golf can and does enhance ones social, physical, emotional and educational development in friendly environs.
The Optimist JUNIOR LINKSTER TOUR is important also to junior golfers wishing to prepare for other local, provincial or national tours in B.C. and across Canada. Optimist JLTC events are recognized in determining qualification for various prestigious junior golf events, including the Pepsi Little Peoples and Junior Masters events, USKIDS GOLF Team Championship, Junior World in San Diego, Canadian and International Optimist Championships, B.C./Washington junior Team matches, Mexico, Ecuador, Brazil teams and the Doral Publix World's. It is the goal of the Optimist Junior Linkster Tour Canada to conduct the best national junior golf tournaments as possible. We take great pride in the quality of its players, host facilities, sponsors and the broad community involvement at each JLTC event.

Registration:
By entry form or walk-on if space permits. Tee Times - 9 am for most Age
5-10 events and after 2 pm for Age 11 & Up.

Juniors may "play up" one age division only.

Code
of Conduct:
An enjoyable junior event will see proper dress, etiquette and observance
of the Rules of Golf. Good sportsmanship, lots of fun and respect for
the golf facilities are mandatory. Please study your special PGA Junior
Rule Book and feel free to ask questions of our JLTC officials.
Parents
and Spectators:
Juniors age 8 and under may have caddies but "no coaching"!
Please cheer all competitors and let the juniors play and enjoy their
own game! They are the boss! Spectators act as "forecaddies"
- meaning - stay ahead of the play, not beside the junior golfer. NB:
Some facilities do not allow spectators on the golf course, so please
check with us well ahead of time.
